An intensely sulfurous, alliaceous material with a pungent oniony-garlic character at full strength that opens out into tropical fruit facets — blackcurrant bud, passionfruit and grapefruit-peel thiol nuances — when heavily diluted. Extremely powerful; only trace amounts are usable, where it lends a natural, juicy 'catty' realism to fruit and blackcurrant accords.AI · claude-opus-4-7

Pale yellowish liquid.
Powerful and penetrating, but sweet and in extreme dilution pleasant-green foliage odor. The concentrated material is difficult to evaluate because of its repulsively strong odor. Upon dilution the herbaceous character seems to increase, finally turning greener, earthy-vegetable-like just before the point of minimum perceptible.
It is also used to a minor degree in flavor compositions, mainly in meat and vegetable (soup) flavors.
This material has found some use in the reconstruction of certain essential oils, and as a trace ingredient in topnote compositions for perfumes or perfume bases.
