A soft, sweet floral-fruity note reminiscent of orange blossom and neroli with a distinct concord grape facet. Less sharp and more rounded than methyl anthranilate, it lends a plush, slightly powdery petal quality that persists into the drydown.AI · claude-opus-4-7

Appearance

Colorless or pale straw-colored, slightly oily liquid.

Odor

Sweet, but very weak, fruity-floral odor with resemblance to Plum and NeroIi.

Uses in perfumery

This ester is of very little interest to the perfumer and flavorist. Apart from being a fair fixative, its odor contribution to a fragrance composition, is neither powerful nor interesting. It is most conceivable that this ester will become obsolete if it is not already so.

Production

Produced from n-Hexanol and Anthranilic acid by azeotropic type esterification. Also from lsatoic acid anhydride
