Orcinol dimethyl ether (1,3-dimethoxy-5-methylbenzene) has a dry, phenolic-woody odor with distinct earthy, mossy, and slightly anisic facets. It evokes oakmoss and lichen-like nuances with a subtle sweet-aromatic backdrop, useful as a chypre and fougère modifier.AI · claude-opus-4-7
