Name is incomplete, but appears to reference a para-isopropyl aromatic aldehyde in the cyclamen aldehyde / muguet family. If so, expect a fresh, aldehydic floral character with a green, slightly waxy lily-of-the-valley facet and a mildly soapy-clean feel.AI · claude-opus-4-7

Solubility

Practically insoluble in water, soluble in alcohol and oils.

Sweet-herbaceous, mildly oily-floral odor of good tenacity.

Uses in perfumery

The title alcohol has been suggested for use in perfume compositions as a modifier/blender with fixative effect. It blends particularly well with the Methylionones, Bergamot, Lavender, Lavandin, Mimosa and Orris bases, Oakmoss and Galbanum, etc.

Production

1) from para-Cymyl ethylmagnesiumbromide plus Ethylene oxide. 2) from Homocuminic aldehyde plus Acetaldehyde by condensation, followed by hydrogenation and reduction.
