Odor

The title material supplies the fresh, citrusy, lime-like and lifting portion of the fragrance picture of Tetrahydro muguol, while the Tetrahydro linalool supplies the sweet, delicately floral undertones.

Uses in perfumery

Tetrahydromyrcenol as such is not an important perfume chemical. It forms a major part of the commercially available mixture called Tetrahydro muguol, in which Tetrahydro linalool is another major component.
