Zedoaria (white turmeric) oil has a dry, earthy-rooty character with pronounced camphoraceous and cineolic top notes, opening cool and medicinal before settling into a warm, woody-spicy heart reminiscent of turmeric and ginger rhizome. A faint balsamic-sweet undertone lingers, but the overall impression is dusty, root-cellar and slightly bitter.AI · claude-opus-4-7

Its odor is warm, woody-spicy, camphoraceous-cineolic in its initial notes, later sweet and warm, very tenacious.

Flavor

The flavor is equally warm-spicy, but somewhat bitter in its predominant, camphoraceous note which is accompanied by a slightly biting-bitter aftertaste.

Zedoaria Oil is used, although very rarely, in spicy flavor blends, and also as an appetizing tonic in aromatic bitters.
