Orange Blossom 10% is a dilution of the essential oil derived from the flowers of the orange tree (Citrus aurantium). This material captures the delicate, sweet, and floral character of orange blossoms, making it a popular choice in perfumery for creating fresh and uplifting fragrances. It is often used in floral compositions, where it can add a bright and airy quality, and it can also serve as a supporting note in citrus blends. In formulations, Orange Blossom typically sits in the heart or top notes, contributing to the overall complexity and richness of the scent. As with many floral materials, it is important to consider potential allergenic reactions, as orange blossom can contain compounds that may cause sensitivity in some individuals. Regulatory guidelines, such as those from IFRA, may apply to its use, particularly in cosmetic applications, to ensure safety and compliance. Overall, Orange Blossom 10% is valued for its ability to enhance the olfactory profile of a fragrance while providing a natural and harmonious floral note. — AI-generated summary, 2026-09-02.
A luminous white-floral note bridging citrus and neroli: fresh, slightly green and honeyed with a delicate indolic warmth beneath the petals. As a dilution it reads softer and more transparent than the neat absolute, with the bitter-orange leaf and waxy petal facets coming forward.AI · claude-opus-4-7

Orange Flower Water Absolute is a yellowish to orange-yellow or pale brownish yellow colored oil which discolors significantly on ageing.
It has a peculiar dry-floral, musty-herbaceous odor, reminiscent of mandarin leaf oil, petitgrain oil, and, faintly, of orange flower absolute.
The water absolute is occasionally used to prepare reconstituted orange flower water or concentrated flavor essences with the flavor of orange flower water. It has found increasing use in perfumery where its popular notes offer to the perfumer a valuable tool in the creation of neroli bases, jasmin bases, ylang-ylang compounds, etc. and also in the reproduction of certain essential oils. It finds furthermore use in modern colognes, powder type perfumes, aldehydic fantasy fragrances, etc.
The distillation water from neroli oil is extracted with petroleum ether as soon as possible after separation of the neroli oil. The petroleum ether extract is evaporated under gentle vacuum, and the orange flower water absolute remains as a residue.
